Every monitoring method, unified
From ShadowCuff to smartphone, every device reports into one live tracking platform.

What is the Shadowtrack monitoring ecosystem?
Shadowtrack's monitoring and tracking ecosystem covers every level of electronic monitoring on one platform: smartphone monitoring, the ShadowCuff GPS ankle monitor, the wrist-worn ShadoWatch device, ShadowBeacon, and ShadowGateway interior tracking, so agencies can step supervision up or down without changing systems.
One device family for every form of supervision
From a hardened ankle cuff to interior tags that read movement inside a facility, each device is built for a different mandate, and every one of them reports into the same live platform.

ShadowTether + ShadowGateway
Interior tracking is a paired system. The person wears the ShadowTether; ShadowGateway readers mounted through the facility detect it as it moves, mapping location zone to zone, room to room, where satellite GPS can't reach.
A worn tag, read by fixed gateways
GPS stops at the wall. Interior tracking picks up where it leaves off: the ShadowTether broadcasts over Bluetooth Low Energy, and a mesh of ShadowGateway readers listens for it, resolving position by which gateway sees the strongest signal.
The person wears it
The ShadowTether rides on the wrist, broadcasting a secure BLE signal continuously.
Gateways read it
Fixed ShadowGateway readers throughout the facility detect the tag and log proximity.
Movement is mapped
The platform turns those reads into live position, zone to zone, room to room.
The tamper-proof worn tag

Fixed readers, indoors and out
ShadowGateway is the infrastructure that reads the ShadowTether. Each gateway uploads what it sees to the platform over Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or cellular. It comes in two variants; pick the one that suits where it's mounted.
Interior (KG02). The everyday reader for cell blocks and corridors: up to 350 m coverage, powered over PoE or a 5V adapter.
Exterior (KG03). A weather-sealed IP67 reader for yards and perimeters: long-range BLE up to ~1500 m from a single unit.

ShadowBeacon
ShadowBeacon is a radio-frequency (RF) transmitter that communicates with the GPS bracelet to deliver consistent indoor location within a specific site, reinforcing coverage where satellite positioning alone can fall short inside a building.
Placed inside an enrollee's home, it anchors a verified indoor location and works hand-in-hand with the ShadowCuff ankle monitor to confirm presence and curfew from the moment they walk through the door.
Status and alarms travel inside those transmissions, relayed through the associated bracelet back to the platform.

ShadowPhone
A fully locked-down phone provided by Shadowtrack, a tracking device in its own right. It ships with the EnrolleeApp pre-installed, every permission under agency control, and continuous location reporting from the moment it's handed over.
Every permission controlled, nothing to undo
The ShadowPhone isn't the enrollee's phone with an app on it; it's an agency-managed device. All permissions are controlled by Shadowtrack, and the enrollee can't delete the EnrolleeApp, log out of it, or change settings.
Fully locked-down software
Every permission on the device is controlled, so the enrollee can't change a single setting.
Can't delete, can't log out
The EnrolleeApp is pinned to the device. There is no way to remove it or sign out of it.
Tamper-proof
Hardened against interference, so the handset keeps reporting no matter what.
Continuous location, every 3 minutes
The handset reports its position over GPS and Wi-Fi around the clock, on battery life of up to five days per charge.
ShadowPhone × ShadowTether
The phone works on its own. Pair it with the wrist-worn ShadowTether when you need to guarantee it stays on the person.

Separation alarm. If the ShadowTether and ShadowPhone separate, an alarm triggers and a loud noise plays continuously on the phone until they're back together.
The ShadowTether is worn on the wrist at all times, turning the ShadowPhone into a two-piece tracking setup: the tether guarantees the phone travels with the person, not in a drawer.
Tamper-proof band & buckle
Alarm triggered if the band is cut, disassembled, or separated from the ShadowPhone.
Robust & water-proof
Protection against harsh environments, dust, and temporary water immersion.
Six-month battery
Up to six months per charge, topped up over a simple magnetic charger.
Body temperature sensor
Monitors body temperature for an extra layer of presence assurance.

Full-time tracking on the enrollee's own phone
For lower-touch cases, agencies can enable full-time tracking on the regular EnrolleeApp running on the enrollee's own device: a lighter-weight service option without an issued handset. It relies on the enrollee's phone and doesn't carry the ShadowPhone's lockdown guarantees.

When they run, you stay on them
When an enrollee absconds, switch to Pursuit mode: Shadowtrack tightens to a new location every 15 seconds, redrawing the map and connecting each point into a live trail you can follow.
The software that turns location into action
Hardware reports the position; the platform decides what matters. These are the flagship surfaces your team works in every day.

Routine
Every alarm, ranked and routed
Breaches, tampers, lost fixes, curfew and battery events all land in one queue, graded Critical, High, or Routine and escalated to the right responder automatically, so the urgent ones can't get buried.
- Severity-ranked in real time, the moment an event fires.
- Automatic escalation along each agency's protocol until acknowledged.
Recurring visit points
The places they keep going back to
Shadowtrack watches how long an enrollee dwells and learns the locations they return to. Recurring visit points build a pattern, and a new, unexplained one gets flagged for review.
- Dwell time and visit frequency per location.
- New or off-pattern visit points surfaced automatically.
Common questions about monitoring devices
What is the ShadowCuff ankle monitor?
ShadowCuff is Shadowtrack's GPS ankle monitor. It tracks with multi-constellation GNSS (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou), is IP68 submersible, uses dual-SIM 4G coverage, and installs tool-free in under 20 seconds. It can be removed with an officer key on-site or released remotely from the platform anywhere in the world, with every remote release requiring a reason and logged to the record. It also charges two ways: a portable charger that snaps onto the device or a wired magnetic charger.
How long does the ShadowCuff battery last?
The ShadowCuff runs 80 to 100 hours on a charge depending on tracking configuration. The wrist-worn ShadoWatch runs 20 to 70 hours depending on its reporting interval.
What is the ShadoWatch?
ShadoWatch is a tamper-resistant, wrist-worn GPS device. It is IP68 waterproof with a rugged, low-profile build, uses a one-piece tamper-proof band, runs 20 to 70 hours per charge depending on its reporting interval, and offers a less stigmatizing alternative to an ankle monitor for lower-risk cases.
What tamper and violation alarms does Shadowtrack monitor?
Available alarms differ by device, and the platform supports more than 15 alert types. Some of them are band tamper, exclusion zone violations, inclusion zone violations, buffer zones, low battery, battery critical and failed to charge, lack of motion, loss of signal, and no location. Alerts route to the supervising agency in real time.
How does interior tracking work without GPS?
ShadowGateways listen for the Bluetooth signal from the worn ShadowTether and resolve a person's position by which readers detect it, locating people inside buildings where GPS cannot reach. Exterior ShadowGateway models, IP67 rated, extend coverage to yards and perimeters up to 350 meters.
Does Shadowtrack offer victim protection?
Yes. ShadowGuardian, Shadowtrack's victim app, is included with the ShadowCuff at no cost. Victims sign their agreement digitally and get their own profile in the platform, linked to one or more enrollees, with a floating protection zone that travels with them and buffer zones on top. If the enrollee gets into proximity, the victim is alerted and can see how close they are, and every alert also goes to the agency.
Can agencies mix monitoring methods on one platform?
Yes. ShadowCuff, ShadoWatch, ShadowBeacon, smartphone monitoring, and interior tracking all report into the same Shadowtrack platform, so an agency can step supervision up or down without changing systems.
